Rehab Program

What should a drug rehab program possess?

New postby Donald » 28 Nov 2009, 17:57

I'm looking for the tell-tale signs of a good rehab program since my father have decided to have an older brother undergo one. His life got all messed up when he found out that his gf for five years cheated her thrice. I wanna help my brother find a rehab that will take good care of him.

Please help.

Generally, a good drug rehab program must be intensive but short. There are programs done over a period of just five weeks, which allow clients to go with their normal lives as the recovery and treatment process take place. Ideally, the program should have group lectures and guided therapy on relapse and other addictions, as well as an introduction into a 12 step recovery program. The treatment plan should cater to the needs of every individual client.

I hope that brother of yours gets treated ASAP. :)

How much does a two week rehab program on average cost?
My rehab program would be involved in.
-Suicide
-Sexual abuse
-Physical abuse
-Eating disorders.

I'm curious if anyone would know how much it would cost. And no.I'm not wanting any "Attention". Just answers please.
P.S. I live in Newfoundland, Canada ( if that gives a better estimate)

The Foundry, I think in Tennessee. I can't give a personal reference, but I was watching intervention the other night and the two people that went there had good things to say about it, and they stayed sober.

Very little info to go on here, but there is a good chance you may lose your home.

I take it this is a pre-existing condition. Are you mandated? (If you're not mandated, don't go.) Do you have insurance to pay for rehab?

The rehab is going to take every penny they can get away with before they decide you are well enough to leave rehab.

Talk to a lawyer, without knowing all the particulars and the local laws, I doubt anyone here can give you all the information you will need. If you can't afford a lawyer, look up Legal Aid or check out local colleges to see if they have a legal service for the community.

Good luck.

Do you live here in the states? Any state funded treatment center, is set up for people with disabilities.
I worked as a counselor for 16 yr as an inpatient substance abuse center. They have to be handicap friendly.
You can look up mental health in the Blue Pages and then call the Administator of the Deptment of Mental Health/Substance Abuse and ask for a state funded treatment center in your area. My guess is e receives SSD or SSI, so that shouldn't be a problem. If I can offer more information feel free to email me. God Bless Reggie
