Is A 3 Year Contract With A Boxing Promoter Good Business...

New postby Birgit » 25 Oct 2012, 13:33

Is a 3 year contract with a boxing promoter good business practice by the promoter or is this fishy to boxers?

I am up-and-coming. No amateur record. 24 years old, middleweight-ish, and considering of turning pro once I get my sparring done and see where I stand. From my point of view, too much amateur and sparring can hurt you in the long run. Minimalism is the way to go. If you get hit, get hit in an actual boxing match. So I was training at this gym and found out that the promoter who owns and runs it offers pro-boxers a 3 year contract. 3 years seem a long time to me. What if this deal is junk? Any pros in here knows if 3 years is standard or is this overboard?

It means ONE thing...He's a promising Boxer !
it's bad for the Boxer because he can't get out the contract or even improve it.

New postby Herminia » 25 Oct 2012, 13:33

Any advice on how to write a business plan for being a promoter of communication trainings to companies. In other words, I would be recruiting businesses companies, and promoting and setting up communication trainings. I appreciate any advice.

New postby Elza » 25 Oct 2012, 13:33

I am pretty skeptical about the programm being able to get you a top 10 google rank on any keyword that seems almost imposible. Because if they could really do that they could make millions. Anyways has anyone tried ?

Stay away from anyone who "guarantees" any rankings. You are doing right thing - being skeptical is what you have to do when you hear someone is assuring you that he can guarantee you any rankings. That is unprofessional in so many ways.

Someone who sells shares of a BRAND NEW company would be a venture capital broker. But, brand new companys don't usually have shares. Someone who sells shares of a company just going public is an underwriter, and thats what companys like Merrill Lynch do to make money.
