New postby Hedy » 27 Oct 2012, 12:55

How can someone be reading the texts I send to someone else? Auto forward without them knowing?

My texts to a person are being viewed by someone. Not sure if they are having them forwarded automatically to their phone or a computer or what. Is that possible without the original person knowing? Thanks

Yes that is possible. There is software that allows a SIM card to be cloned and it allows the texts going into the phone to be read on another cloned phone.

It would take too long for me to explain the entire process. Use this link:

Does anyone know where you can read auto repair manuals online?

We have an old car my dad is trying to fix and it is from 1989. I know next to nothing about automobiles. I want to read more about this subject. Are there any good user-friendly websites to read about auto-repair that would help us both out.

Well almost all auto manuals have copyrights so they are not free. The only place I know you can go for free info is Auto Zone on line. If you go to www.autozone.com there is a link on the left side of the page that says repair info. Go to that and select Vehicle Repair Guides, it will ask you for a year, make, and model. The information provided is rather good, but they do not carry info on all models. You can also go to the link in the source section.
All Data is another on line resource but it costs 24.99 for one car and that is only for a year. There are longer subscriptions. The data there is very good and there is also advice for troubleshooting.
You can also try looking for a forum for your type of car. If it is a popular car chances are other people will have posted manual info on the forum for all to read.

I suppose with "auto read" you mean auto run, am i right?

If that' s your problem (you insert a CD there and nothing happens, the CD drive refuses to "auto run"), then you may try this:

Click Start, Run. In the box appears type "regedit" and press ok
Before proceed to whichever change in there, get a copy of it (Menu File, Extract). Very important. Get a copy.

Locate the following registry key HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\System\
CurrentControlSet\Services\
CDRom. Click ok.
To enable the auto run option for your CD/DVD-ROMs, change the Autorun value to 1. Restart your computer. You might be ok now.

Hope this helps

New postby Yetta » 27 Oct 2012, 12:55

I'm cramming for a huge test and have to recite a freaking lot materials. Since there're too many of them I'm wondering if there's automatically reading software available which can load ur TXT files and read them loud and record them? If there is, plz give me the downloading/purchasing link, thnks:)

There are many text-to-speech converters. Quality and price differ greatly. Here's a small list I found with a quick search...

AT&T Natural Voices
ReadPlease
Neospeech
RealSpeak

That being said, if you don't have any really challenging text, and are just looking for something quick and dirty, some versions of MS Windows, including XP and Vista, have rudimentary TTS applications built in.

I do not think the Vehicle Code says window tints are illegal. I believe you cannot make your windows darker than a certain level. This has to do with police officers' safety as when the windows are too dark they cannot see into your windows which makes it harder for them to assess risk when they approach your vehicle. For example, it is illegal to get limo level tinting on your car.
