Will using Space Saver vacuum bags damage clothes?

I'm mostly worried for the shape of my wool jacket.

Other types of clothing I have turned out fine after 3 months of storage.

Wool? Probably not, but why not call the Customer Service line?

Reynold's (the tin foil people) make these things called Handi-Vac you can find at Walmart. There are bags that come in different sizes that look like modified heavy duty ziplocks, and this little hand-held suction machine that attaches to a port ont he bags.

My dad used them this year for storing his game (he's a hunter) and the system seems very intuitive and economical. I recommend it.

My mother had one. It was just a lot of trouble to use, something else bulky to store. I recommend the zip locks.

Food Saver Vacuum Appliance Recommendation?

New postby Delena » 28 Oct 2012, 22:36

Had a Food Saver Professional II.fantastick machine.used all the time for YEARS, finally gave out on us, the company no longer makes that model which we have tons of attachments for. Has anyone had a great experience with a vacuum sealer? What brand - model is suggested please.

They actually have ones that you just roll to expel the air.
