Name of vacuum cleaner on tv that can pick up a fridge with cyclonic suction.sold only on tv?

It,s on tv late at night. shows a man and woman demonstrating this extremely lightweight vacuum against a conventional vacuum. shows the cyclonic suction power by lifting a large refridgerator high off the ground. has multiple attachments. converts to small hand held vacuum.

Any vacuum can do that if they get a good seal on the attachment.

Why do you people believe everything on TV?

Hydro Vacuum on TV!?

New postby Tama » 21 Oct 2012, 21:50

Im looking for that Hydro vacuume they had on tv for a while there. It was like $30-50. Know where I can find it?

It looked like a glass bowl that you filled water into, and it just sucked dust all up into it.

If not.Does anyone have any suggestions for good hydro vacs that are cheep enough for a student to afford but can stand up to 600 sf of lenolium and carpet?

Ill be picking the winner.
I need a Vac for hardwood floors.

I've been in the vac repair business for over 35 years, and have never heard of a hydro vac that sold for $30 - $50, even on TV. The only established water vac, other than a ShopVac, is a Rainbow, by RexAir, and they usually retail for around $2400. Personally, I've always found the combination of water and electicity together in the same unit to be rather foolish. You'd be better off with a good bagged upright that had an agitator shut off feature, (for the linoleum).

Did anyone ever hear that you shouldn't run a vacuum cleaner while the TV is on?

I don't know what the story is.but someone told me one time that it could blow your picture tube or something like that. My ex wold never let me vacuum in the room where his computer was. Is any of this true?

Back in the day, running a vaccuum while watching tv would mess with your reception. If you were receiving tv through aerial antennas. Today with cable and satellite, this is no longer an issue. Vaccuum motors and all electric motors create a magnetic field which can distort reception, but no damage done. FCC has rules controlling stuff like this. You'll do more damage to a tv by placing stereo speakers near it. Magnets are a tv's enemy, as the tube in a tv is coated with magnetic material.

Changing the filter in your heating / cooling system might help. If the filter is dirty, dust is likely to come out of the registers or vents in your room.
