The best cards I've ever used were both from Citibank. The Citi Dividend offers 5% cash back on gas, groceries, and pharmacies with 1% back on everything else. Plus they have bonus merchants, such as Target, that offers like 7% cash back. The Citi Diamond card is the same, but you get points that can be redeemed for gift cards or cash back.
