You didn't specify what type of accounts you are disputing. If they are listed as derogatory and you believe you don't owe it, then follow the FTC guidelines.

Contacting Trans Union will only get you an automated response that they "verified" the debt. They are not going to spend time on a little consumer request.
I have provided links to the FTC web site giving instructions on how dispute entries.

http://www.ftc.gov/bcp/menus/consumer/c ... ports.shtm

Here you can download a pdf file providing instructions.

Hope this is of help.

Where can I find out which companies pull which credit...

New postby Betsy » 22 Jun 2009, 16:47

Where can I find out which companies pull which credit report (Trans Union, Equifax, Experian)?

I have a big disparity in my scores on the three reports (1 is wildly inaccurate and I am in the process of contesting), would like to get credit, but don't want a company that will check the inaccurate report and deny me. Thanks!

The companies switch which credit reports they check. I applied for one card twice before I got it and both times they checked different reports.

How do I get my free annual credit report from the Trans Union web site?

When I am transferred to the Trans Union web site from annualcredit report.com, all I can see are offers for credit reporting products and the option to order them. There are no pointers to the free yearly credit report. How do I get the free report from this web site?

Went through the same nonsense, and used the telephone..No problem at all. Very quick and easy, and you will get a letter in the mail in a few days. Don't have the number handy but there are three reporting companies. Too much info is worse than none at all. Best wishes

Www.annualcreditreport.com you have 3 major credit reporters and can check them all once a year, Trans Union Included.

Yes. Creditors have the option to report to one credit bureau, two or all three. And then there are some who choose not to report at all.
There's no legal requirement to report to a credit bureau.
