Select Comfort Bed Stores. Do they carry the beds in stock or do you have to wait 2 weeks for them to ship?

We are going today to the Store, and would love to bring one home. Would call, but they don't open for two more hours.
Thanks!

I have the bed and it's great! I believe the store has to order same as we do online, but I believe you get a break on shipping and it might be faster through the store but it does get delivered directly to you. I hope this helps. Enjoy!

Question about a sleep number select comfort bed?

New postby Cornell » 29 Oct 2012, 06:05

I got rid of my waterbed bladder a few years ago and just stuck an old coil spring mattress in the waterbed frame. Now that is hurting my back so I'm thinking about just buying the 2 air chambers and the pump and putting them in the same frame.

Will this work? I know I'm missing a bunch of foam pieces and select comforts actual full bed kinda has a different base. But overall what do you think or has anyone else tried it?

Is the SELECT COMFORT BED the WORST most OVERPRICED BED in the WORLD?

Personally, I've been through just about all their models over a 5+ years owning with all the "warranty" returns. Is this bed a royal piece of SHITE or what? I FINALLY sold mine and got onto a foam hybrid. Has anyone else had this experience? I was thinking about starting a website showing all the problems with the bed. How it just falls apart and then you have to "rebuild" it all the damm time. What a piece of foamy monkey plastic!
ALSO KNOWN AS SLEEP NUMBER BED! AS IN BIG FAT ZERO!

If google is no help, ask http://manualfox.com - an international search agency for repair manuals. They find you virtually every manual.

We have a Sleep Number bed,it is very comfortable and we love it, have had it about 7 years now. Pretty much the same as a Select Comfort. You should have instructions aboout putting it together, if not, go to a store where they sell them and ask, or go to their web site for help.

Why are you calling it an investment? Are you planning on selling it in the future for a profit? This is a fixed asset at best, but I would classify it more as a consumable good.

As for its performance, maybe contact the company and ask to have it repaired.

We got one three years ago, and really love it. There are 3 models with different levels of 'padding' on top. We thought the highest priced one had TOO much padding, so we got the middle-priced one.

The only cautionary note - be careful if you ever move it. The hose connection at the air pump is fragile and easily broken. If you set it up and never move it, you're golden.

Do you feel a "Select Comfort" bed is worth the price?

I bought a Select Comfort bed.my husband loved a waterbed and I needed a firm bed.so we bought a king size Select Comfort bed .now we both have the type of sleep area that we each like.but the bed was dang expensive. We just bought the mattress.didnt need the "base" or box springs. It was $1800 for just the mattress! We got the 5000 series. Just wanted to know if anyone else has one and what their opinion is.

It has been worth it to me. I was in a couple of car wrecks that damaged my back and I woke up every day with a backache. Now with the sleep # I have a bad night maybe once a month. You don't really realize what a blessing it is to have a good night's sleep until you can't have them. And now I can again. Put the cost behind you and enjoy it.
