How do you transform a function hall into An Evening Under the Stars event on a budget?

Hello- I am holding a fundraising event for my church and the name of it is Evening under the Stars. We are hoping to create a ceiling with gossamer and use twinkle lights above it to creat a night sky atmosphere. We are looking for more ideas on how to transform the space -walls, entrance etc and do not have a lot of money to work with. Any ideas out there? Thank you!

You can always buy some tulle at a fabric place and it comes in a variety of colors. Tulle is fun to work with, you can bunch it up and put Christmas lights in it. You can buy some sheer wired ribbon and sew the edges together and also put a string of lights in it, hang the strips in the door way and drape them back with other ribbon. Not sure if this is much help but maybe it will help jog your creative side. Good luck.

This would be a good site for you. They have many great items for big Mardi Gras parties.

This site also has some Mardi Gras items, such as volume packs of beads. When you get there, do a search for Mardi Gras.

I have no enough budget to go the Germany. How can I do to join this big event?

My full name is Tuan Nguyen, was born in Khanh Hoa province in Viet Nam. I am still single. In my family, there are four members : my father, my mother, my sister and me.
I graduted from the University of Economics .I am living and working in Ho Chi Minh city. I have been playing this game when I still was 12 years old. Up to now, I also like football very much and I'm a exciting fan of Manchester United club.
Actually, I didn't use to go abroad because I have no enough money. I wish that there has a day I can visit any nation outside Viet Nam. There I can learn a lot of things such as culture, customs, life style of people etc.
In this summer, I know the famoust event all over the world will be held in beatiful and ancient Germany. That is the World Cup 2006. This is a chance for all of people to be able to watch performance of the world famous player.
And finally, I hope that my nation "Viet Nam" will also join this great holiday in future.
Lovely and best regards !

You should try calling different entertainment agencies in NY and LA to see what clients they represent and how much they make for appearences in that price range you should definitely be able to fly in a good vocalist for a few hours

Event Planning Budget Breakdown

New postby Zack » 29 Oct 2012, 02:01

I'm trying to create a very simple event planning tool where someone enters their overall budget and it automatically calculates how it should be distributed by food, drinks, decoration and entertainment.

Does anyone know how to split those up as a percentage of a budget? Or where on the internet or in a book I could find this information?

I need a slogan for event planning co. that says no matter the budget, the event will be spectacular.

It is an event company that coordinates all types of events, but specializes in weddings.

Hire a specialist company
or talk to graphic designers such as myself
unfortunatley not many people are likely to give you suggestions that are good due to the age of the people answering,

in all honesty you need to see a designer who specializing in these things such as myself
