I used this for 3 months about 2 years ago. I lost 40 lbs and kept it off until I got pregnant. I should try it again. The hardest thing about it is pre-cooking your meals or you'll never remember to eat 6 times a day.

Is it good?
Does it work?
Do you really get to eat real food, and not tiny portions?
Also, i'm 14, but I really need to lose weight.
is it still ok?

You get to eat real food, but he does stress portion control. You eat 6 small meals a day.

Look, this isn't a 'eat anything you want' plan. I found it to be geared more toward people who don't overeat and yet can't lose weight. The eating and exercise plans are based on your specific body type. This is great if you ARE one of those people who don't eat much.

However, if you are like most overweight people, it's not what you eat, but how much. You still have to cut down. You still have to eat better foods. You still have to exercise.

There are some tools that are kind of cool, but it's really a basic, 'eat healthy, exercise' plan that just happens to be catered a little to different body types.

I ordered that program last year, it worked very well for a friend of mine , she lost weight rapidly, you do eat more times a day, the portions are small though, like 1/2 cup of protien & 1/2 cup of rice & 1/2 cup veg., ect.
I would have to say, the cons, are that you have alot of preparing to do, all foods have to be fresh, nothing canned or boxed. No salt can be added to your for, nor can you use any seasoning, or condiments w/ salt on your foods. No matter how much herbs, or salt free seasonings i used, it still seemed to have something missing for taste(salt). All your vegetables have to be bought fresh from produce, so you have to prepare & eat it right away before it goes bad, or prepakage your own meals in half cup servings. It is very good for weightloss, if you can stick to it. Oh, also, you can't have any store bought breads or pastsa, it's too proscessed, you have to make your own homemade if you want it. No sugar either in your foods.

I have tried it (im actually on it now sorta) It works well by teaching you the proper way to eat and what your body can handle. I find the workouts in my opinion to be someone boring and difficult because the bands are a pain. I personally go to the gym for my workouts but i suppose the workout are good considering the moves behind them work the muscle they say it does.

The whole idea tho is to create a consistent metabolism by eating 5-6 times a day of Low sodium, calorie, fat, and sugar/carbs food. In the past 5 1/2 weeks I have lost 30.4 Lbs. (which is helped by my consistent workout routine) But it's an all around good product that teaches you more about eating properly then the workout part of it, but any type of workout does help that metabolism and makes you feel better! So i highly recommend it!!

Has anyone tried Michael Thurmond's 6 Week Body Makeover?

If so, what makes this program any different from others? Can a person really lose weight based upon their current body shape? It sounds like a lot of hooey to me, but I thought I'd ask.

Is this really possible? Has anyone out there been successful with it?
Oooo Gugie thanx a million! I just now joined!

The only snag is that it doesn't offer a vegan plan, and I'll have to both substitute, and also re-do the math for the substitution caloric count. Bummer. Otherwise, it's great, and FREE!

At first I was gonna chuck it, then I realized that even if it's not vegan, the rest of it is excellent. I emailed the team to suggest a vegan plan. ; ^ )

Btw, you can find me under "dgllamas" my name there. Again, THANK YOU!

I bought it and sent it back 3 weeks later - they outline it as a great and easy program...it took over an hour to set up "my program" and when i did some was simple enough that it wasn't worth the momey and the other part was so involved and complicated i didn't bother doing it...ther is a great prog called...sparkpeople.com and it's TOTALLY free on the web...i've been using it for 3 weeks with success...easy...lots of info...and bonus...it's free...

I have the same amount of weight to lose (50 lbs) and I just completed day one of the program. I haven't seen the book, but I found the package helpful and informative. It's a strict program, but after researching diet after diet, they all pretty much are. This plan does take sacrifice. You do eat six times a day, though. So though I'm new to the program, I've been on the forums and read several reviews and more so than not, people are sticking with it and getting results. I spoke to one of the ladies on the infomercial (she's still active on the forums) and she's lost I think a couple hundred pounds. It's no salt, dairy, fat or added sugar (except sweeteners) but she found a way to stick with it. The no salt part is the most difficult for me. But, I plan on hanging in there. Hope this helps!

I haven't but a close friend of mine is doing it right now...she's lost 76 pounds! I say, whatever program you try just don't give up and even if you cheat, jump right back on and keep going! You'll do great, good luck!
