My 4 month old dog chews on things, pees in the house, poops in the house, BITES PEOPLE, shes just plain horrible. where are the schools?

Most PETSMARTs have obedience classes in their stores.

Any area is okay, as I'm willing to travel. I DO NOT WANT LINKS TO THE ABC, I am not an online class person, and I feel that that is a lazy way out. Also, you can only learn so much online, without hands on work.

Any one know of any? Any suggestions?
DogAddict, please let me know what you think of the Triple Crown Dog Training Academy in Houston, TX. I've been looking heavily at that one.

Amy, I would really just suggest you find yourself a good mentor. Some of the schools, even when the come highly recommended, aren't worth anything. I've met several people that have spent a good bit of money on training schools, and they could've learned so much more in their own backyard. Certifications in dog training mean nothing. Once you've mastered your craft, you get endorsed. That would be my suggestion. Good luck.

Hi, I don't know of any dog training schools in calfornia but somthing that you can try is the book, "How to train your dog in one evening". My dalmation kept digging up the garden which was not only stressful but expensive! It's got loads of information about everything in there so if you have no luck finding a really good dog training school then definately give this book a go http://snipurl.com/1qk7n

I'm interested in becoming a dog trainer and have searched in many places (yahoo.com, superpages.com etc.) and couldn't find much for dog training schools, except for obedience courses for my dog, but that's not what I want.
