I need affordable pet insurance for my dog any suggestions. I cant pay more than 20 monthly right now?

Last time I did research from the various sources, I actually found it cheaper to pay the additional $80AU a year and add our dog to our house and contents "Pet Cover" option as insurance with direct companies were quite expensive.

Alternatively, if $20 a month is all you can afford, open a savings account (or sub account to an existing account if your bank offers that option -that way no additional monthly fees) and transfer $20 into it each month. Over 5 years would would have a minimum of $1,200 (plus interest) and will at least contribute towards some of the vets fees should anything major happen.

Each time you get a bonus, raise or your tax return each year, add to this account to bump it up even more.

Then if over the lifetime of the dog nothing happens, at least you can use it towards something you have always wanted i.e. an around the world trip or a new car.
