New postby Angeline » 26 Oct 2012, 15:34

It doesnt say on the box anywhere. The lady that gave them to me said to change them every month but someone else said that i dont really need to change them that much and they just say that so i can buy more lenses. So how often should i change them?

If you can, try to change them every two weeks. I know that can get a bit expensive, but 1 month is really pushing it.

Do those new accuvue lenses actually feel better than the other astigmatism lenses?

I need to know if they are able to stay moisture rich, oxygen rich, no slide around, not feel uncomfortable and how much they cost for astigmatism just above the legal limit for lasix surgery?

They are fine for some people, but they are terrible for others.

Toric lenses ( for astigmatism) react very differently on different people.

The only way you can know is to have your Dr. get you a trial pair in that brand if you aren't happy with the ones you have.

They may work great for you, and maybe they won't.

That is the Oasys for astigmatism you are talking about. I haven't had much success with those in my practice as of yet.

I seem to be allergic to Accuvue Oasis and all of the other "breathable" lenses? Any ideas?

When I wear these "breathable" silicone lenses, they get all cloudy and have gunk build-up. Does anyone have any suggestions of what kind of other contact lenses I can try?

Does anyone else have problems with Accuvue Oasys with Hydroclear contacts?

They hurt my eyes, i can't wear each pair for more then a week, and my eyes always have tons of that eye matter junk in them. Does anyone else have this problem?

You aren't alone. I have fit about 20 different patients with them, and 14 or 15 don't like them.

That isn't surprising with Johnson & Johnson though...every couple of years they come out with new lenses that don't work.

They had the Acuvue toric, one of the worst torics on the market...then they came out with the acuvue monthly lens...it lasted about 6 months and was pulled from the market.

The Advance Toric works about 50 % of the time...

The best lens they have is the acuvue 2...they are lucky to have one at least that works well.

Has anyone had problems with Accuvue Oyasis contacts?

New postby Noelia » 26 Oct 2012, 15:36

I dont know if its my contacts or just my eyes but my eyes have been really tired and itchy and watery and hurting for the past 3 days. I'm going to the eye doctor tommorow but I was just wondering if anyone else had the same problems with these contacts.

Yeah, They get dry 5 mins after I put them on. Its also very irritating. They also made my eyes a bit redder than usual. They also feel kinda lazy and tired.

18.99 thats one box, 12 weeks worth, for one eye.

and there is a discount if you buy 8 boxes, enough for both eyes for one year. :-)

Accuvue Oasys vs. Focus Night and Day?

New postby Karri » 26 Oct 2012, 15:36

I am a new wearer of contact lenses. I have tried both, and the vision is equally as good as the other. However, there are big price differences and claims that one lasts longer than the other. Please help clear up some confusion. Thanks

Focus will be a better choice as it offer a better oxygen flow which is better for the eyes.

Help! Accuvue color contacts falling out of my eye!?

New postby Dodie » 26 Oct 2012, 15:36

I recently got a prescription for contacts, and I chose to get colors. They gave me the Accuvue colors 2. I try putting one in this morning, and it's moving around in my eye, and every time I blink, it comes out!

The eye doctor gave me some Oasysis contacts, and they don't do that! What's up with the colors?

Are you putting the contact in right? My kids have them and if they arent on the right side they will pop out. When you put it on your finger to put it in your eye it will look like a small bowl if its right. If its wrong it will have a small lip on it. Hope that helps Good Luck.
