Is it cheaper to buy cell phones on the company web page or at an authorized dealer?

I want to buy for T-Mobile, but don't know if dealers have different prices than the internet.

Dealers, Stores and online all have different pricing. check for the best deal, but buyer beware! Some online sites and dealers have different contracts. For example. X website has X phone for FREE with a new 2 year contract from TMOBILE, in fine print the X website says if u cancel your service they will also penalize you $200 early term fee as well as the one from TMOBILE. Usually due to the fact they gave u a $500 phone for FREE.
