How much is the value of your collection ?
If it is very valuable, you must keep on special cabinets, with humidity and temperature control. There are many brands on market.
or:
1-remove batteries
2-Do a special cleaning and inspection.
3-decide which pieces of equipment need to be sent to Service for alignment, cleaning and so forth ,before storing.
4-re-wrap the lenses in the original plastic bag, with the pouch of silica gel ,of course, it was left in a warm oven all day to dehydrate it to a suitably low level
( attention:Expired desiccant in air-tight boxes will cause mold growth , but "strong" moisture-absorbing desiccant may cause lens problems, use commom sense).
5-keep boxes on dry place.
6-Periodic inspection will be very important and necessary, because In general, most molds grow when humidity is higher than 60%RH. To prevet this kind of mold from growing, the application of dry box storage is very common,However, normal dry box storage cannot prevent the particular type of mold which grows under 20%RH.
