Donna
I suggest you contact
http://www.jfrd.com/ which is the website for the Jacksonville Firefighters Association. Since the accident happeded in 1968, I would guess the responding firefighters would be retired by now.
Also try
http://www.coj.net/Departments/Fire+and ... efault.htm
which is the City of Jacksonville's Fire and Rescue Department.
The report of the accident, and the subsequent fire marshal investigation will be a public document.
You can also get additional documentation from the insurance firms involved and supporting evidence from any resulting lawsuit(s) filed in court.
Also try the Jacksonville Public Library at 122 North Ocean Street Jacksonville, Florida 32202-3374 ph. 904-630-2410
and ask for Andy Barmer or email
abarmer@coj.net Mr. Bramer is listed as the contact for the state documents collection.
Jacksonville Public Library should also have microfilm records of local newspapers.
