How long does it take for a car accident law suit? My lawyer has taken five years to get me into court.?

It is a game, your atty files suit, their (insurance co?) atty moves to stall. There are thousands of reasons to stall, and their atty will use every one of them... just to keep the money till the last possible minute, whether you are starving or not, in a wheelchair, disabled, whatever... you are just a debit entry on their ledger.
There is no magic bullet, (unless you have LOTS of money, then things always seem to move quicker).
5 years is too long, ask (demand) your atty for a list of motions filed by him and "them". Average accident claim should take 1 1/2, 2 yr max.
There is no statute of limitations once the suit is filed.
