Why will my Uk public liability insurer not allow me to send goods to the USA or Canada ?
I am allowed to send them to any other country in the world. This is despite my terms and conditions stipulating that any contract is subject to UK law.
To clarify, they made me sign an undertaking that I would not export goods to USA or Canada. When I said can I do this and you exclude that from the policy they said no. The policy covers other things, not just public liability and I can't go to another company for other reasons.

I think there's some confusion there. It's not that they aren't ALLOWING you, it's that they won't COVER you if you do. Big difference.
Could have something to do with how lawsuit happy the people are in the US. It's thought of as a great 'get rich quick' scheme.

I have my auto insurance with full coverage and I am driving past 3 years. My wife received her drivers license (her first new DL) just 3 weeks back and I have not yet added her to the policy. On my policy document her name is mentioned as "Not rated driver". Yesterday she was driving and I was along with her and she hit a car. It was not a major accident and only the front bumper got damaged and no body injured. It was our fault. Will my liability coverage will cover the claims for me and the car we hit?

Yes, provided you are also the registered owner of your car. You will have to file the claim yourself. Also, you should add your wife to your policy as soon as possible.

You bet!!! Health care insurers primary drive is to make money. So of course they will seek the cheapest way to divest themselves of liability. Don't ever make the mistake of thinking they have any kind of humanitarian motivation. One thing is that they do have human beings working for them and therefore a little humanity sometimes comes through. Another thing is that the market will only bear so much inhumane treatment so the industry must give the illusion of being humanitarian to market itself.

You do an inspection before you write the policy, and make the coverage contingent on conditions that include, oh, for example, that the policy holder not own or allow pitt bull dogs on the premises. It's called a 'loss control survey' or 'loss control inspection'. Basic risk management.
