Something about turning your engine off overnight while you are sleeping to use your air conditioner for example.

It became effective in January 2008. You need to get an idle law sheet from your company . there are idle laws in all states.

I would say tow truck drivers.

Alot of people don't like cops, but alot of people appreciate the services they provide. Not one person thinks the world is a better place thanks to tow truck drivers.

What is the california labor law for local truck drivers on taking a mandotory 30 min lunch break?

Is is a federal or state law that requires all truck drivers to take a 30 minute lunch break in an 8 hour shift? Or would that be a company policy.

California labor law requires a 30 minute lunch break for every 6 hours worked. It also requires a 10 minute paid break for every 4 hours or major portion worked.
