Where is Whittier close to?? I'm in Lincoln (close to Sac) I'm thinking.....I believe I know of a semi-cheap lawyer if you are close enough that is, I have to think though if the person said they were pricey or not.

EDIT: I just mapquest whittier, sorry, opposite ends of the state. Good Luck though, try a church, they do pro-bono work a lot of times (they have their own lawyers)

No, Paralegal certificates are not state specific. Regardless of locale Paralegals use the same research methods and resources.

According to salary.com, around $50K for a "Level II" paralegal. It will depend on your experience, the responsibilities your job calls for, and the size of the firm.

My first thought is that you contact the firm he worked for or the local bar association. They should have a contact number. Just a guess.

If you filed papers with the court the clerks office can get a copy for you. If you have the case number it is very easy. The harder it is to find the more it will cost. Many court systems have all records online. You can't look at details but you can search by either party's name.

You do not need a paralegal you need a Lawyer before screwing up the case royally!
