What Do You Guys Think Of Jeff Speakman?

New postby Ramon » 27 Oct 2012, 08:51

I think he is pretty good. I know he is a Kenpo expert. I also know that American Kenpo has some grappling in it too so it's a well rounded art compared to most other traditional martial arts. Any thoughts on him?

IVE MET HIM and TRAINED here is a link with me and him back in 1996.

http://www.sover.net/~altpc/legend/images.htm

He was with my teacher at the time and we were leaving for Sydney Australia for the World Cup Games that year. Jeff came to see us off along with a few others.

He was a real nice guy and friendly to every one. We all trained and worked out together and though he is only a good martial artist and no better or worst than any one else of his rank he is a wonderful person at least from what I saw when I met him. I even have a few personal one on one images of him and I too but their are not many on the net here is another

again this was 11 years ago!!

It was a pleasure to have met him for I have met others too with his status or more in Hollywood that are far too egotistical. Chuck is a great guy also but Segal & Van Damme are walking egomaniacs in my opinion. Other cool ones were Jacki Chan and Id love to meet Jet Li!! Ernie Rays Jr was amazing when i saw him. sure it was a lot of acrobatical moves all flash but it was fun to watch and he does have great technique if you look past the flash, he does finish each move solidly.

I loved Kenpo and was just recently promoted to 5th Dan in American Kenpo and also 3rd Dan in Shotokan. I DID learn more grappling in Kenpo than in Shotokan but I would not have given the Shotokan up for it also taught me a lot and together with others has made me a more rounded Martial Artist.

Speakman brand Shower & Tub have no water pressure?

New postby Christeen » 27 Oct 2012, 08:51

The tub pressure is no more than dripping and no water comes out of showerhead. I replaced the bonnet and valve. The pressure into the handle is strong. Can it be the shower/tub valve? Can the pipes be clogged? Thanks!

It is possible the valve is the culprit especially since you have pressure in the house but none at the shower. Some cartridge type only go in one way and even the plumber can get this wrong and have to re-do it.

I am looking for a movie titled The Perfect Weapon...

New postby Rupert » 27 Oct 2012, 08:51

I am looking for a movie titled The Perfect Weapon starring Jeff Speakman, can you help me find it?

I am not sure the movie I am looking for was produced during the 80's but it is a martial arts related film and includes Jeff Speakman, one of Master Ed Parkers foremost students, also I believe it might have never been released on dvd, it is possible that the title is only available on vhs.

It's available at Amazon in VHS format. I don't think the DVD has been released yet.

Jeff Speakman. With his rapid fire hand attack, Jet Li would be left on the floor before he knew what hit him.

Ed Parker/Jeff Speakman quotes?

New postby Amiee » 27 Oct 2012, 08:51

I am currently a senior in high school and am greatly influenced by the martial arts [specifically the American Kenpo system created by Mr. Ed Parker]. Senior yearbook quotes are due in a week and i would really like to quote either Mr. Parker or Mr. Speakman. So if anyone has any quotes at all, PLEASE reply! Thank you!

Whats the name of an early 90s? movie with jeff speakman?...

New postby Goldie » 27 Oct 2012, 08:51

Whats the name of an early 90s? movie with jeff speakman? that had the title character run the gauntlet?

A brother was kidnapped by a gang title character joins gang to get his brother back. there is a scene at the end where he has to ru n the gauntlet (a series of men with different kung fu weapons). He tosses the nunchucks into the center of the group, does a double back flip into the center and then kicks everybody's butt. Title charcter might not have been jeff speakman, but he looked very similar, short black hair, muscular build.
