Why is Fox News the only "fair and balanced" American media outlet?

I don't understand why everyone can't be as objective as Fox news?

After a stressful day I thank you so much for making me laugh!

Joking apart, I doubt whether there is a more blatantly biased, rampantly unbalanced and consequently unfair news media outlet than Fox News on American television.

Unfortunately, if you are American, there is a paucity of good news media outlets I will admit. The closest you have to anything worth listening to over an extended period is CNN or NBC.

However, if want to experience what it feels like to actually have "fair and balanced" you need to watch or listen to the BBC world service for real unbiased, fair and balanced reporting. The BBC America news programme is always good.

The problem you have, which is inherent with your question, is that your perception of truth "fair and balanced" is warped by presentation. If you strip away the loud and obnoxious presentation, the perjorative sarcasm, the opnion offered as fact, xenophoebic paranoia, the demonisation of any alternative view then you are left with precious little that is not pure disdain, arrogance, sneering and contempt. In essence it is almost single handedly responsibly for developing a culture of derision.

Watching Fox News does not of itself make you a bad person but tragically deluded if thing it is "fair and balanced."

Do not stop watching Fox News, as if you could ever be pursuaded by comments like this, but do not - I beg of you - ask such a sycophantic question, which speaks volumes about your ignorance and desparate need to find someone else who might agree with your view!

Is american's utility balanced with their gigantic economy?

Americans are wearing themselves out at work but is it worth it on a personal level. Is it rewarding in terms of happiness, fulfilment and satisfaction?

To me, our happiness is directly related to our feelings of accomplishment in our vocations or avocations.

The slackers perceive a temporary euphoria, but that feeling is only sustainable through success and the diligent and continual effort to achieve success at some level.

It depends on whether you the government is getting a higher economic return than the people they tax. Historically that hasn't been the case. If you balance the budget by taxing people who can earn, say 6%, on their money, and the government can borrow at 4%, you are better off borrowing. Now if you balance the budget by reducing spending (pause for laughter), then you are better off balancing the budget.
