How long can a baby be changed in an amoire changing station?

I Bought a pretty good size amoire for the nursery and recently saw a decorating book that used the top portion of an amoire as a changing table. It looked liike a good idea for a small room such as mine that is limited on space. Does this really work? Also.how long do you use a changing station?

What works better, a playpen/changing station/bed or a bassinet and a separate playpen?

First child born 10 years ago. Starting all over again. So many new things. Should I get a bassinet and a seperate playpen or Graco makes a combo set with a changing station wrapped into it.

The playpen/changing table is much more economical for you. You only have to buy one thing, and it doesn't take away too much space. Buying both the playpen and changing table will take up too much room, and you have to spend alot more money. Also the Graco ones are able to travel because they fold up wheras buying the two seperate items that don't fold up at all. Although I believe the Graco one is better from previous experience, it is basically up to you.

Can a Koala Bear Kare changing station support about 160 pounds? Would it colapse or support the weight?

The manufacturer says they're rated for up to 400 lbs. So, installed correctly it should hold 165 lbs.

Change it at the sales counter. Then order a salad and wipe up the mess with the lettuce.

400 lbs. according to the manufacturer (you can search their whole site to find the exact model, which may have slightly different specifications, but this is the one I see most often).
