Can I use regular saline solution with my Acuvue 2 contacts?

What would happen if I did?

Regular saline solution can be used to rinse your lenses before insertion or to rub and rinse before storage but cannot be used for overnight storage.

Saline solution does not contain disinfectants. If you use it for storage your contacts may have an overgrowth of bacteria or fungi in the morning that will cause an eye infection.

You need to use the storage solution recommended by your contact lens fitter.

I have a prescription for acuvue oasis contacts, do i need a new one for acuvue 2 color contacts?

I want to just try out the color contacts. like a free trial, but i don't think that i need the full blown examination when i already wear contacts and have a prescription. Do I really need an examination to just get a free trial pair of the color contacts?

Ask your optometrist if they will change the prescription to include the colored lenses. If the lenses have similar base curves and diameters, they may. Most docs will have you come in for a refit though.

When you swim, don't wear contact lenses unless you wear swimming goggles at the same. Otherwise, your eyes may have chances to get infection.
