What is the best home security company to go with, opinions please?

I think Apx alarms is is very shady with their door to door tactics. WHat about ADT, Briggs., and personal experiences with them or any others?

Brinks is quite unscrupulous in my opinion. I had to move from a building I unknowingly signed a 3 year service contract in and had to pay the FULL amount of the remaining contract! I understand having to pay for not keeping up your end of the bargain, but to force all new customers into 3 year contracts and then make them pay as though they were still delivering service? WOW! how is this legal? Brinks, according to someone else's complaint I read, reports that their service fees are 100% profit, and therefore can demand payment for the full amount of the remaining balance on the contract. Hmmm... how do you have 100% profit?...unless you do nothing? Best of luck- but please, don't go brinks- I hear Vector is a descent company if they are availabe in your area

Is there a home security company that does not require a credit check?

Even people with less than perfect credit want to protect their family and home too. Can someone please help me find a company who would be willing to help me out.

Yes there are. Many companies now offer home security systems, where you install the system yourself. GE, Honeywell, DSC, etc. are all manufacturing home security systems that are easy for the end user to install. The security companies you purchase from should offer you free technical support, and installation guides. You can then purchase central station monitoring from these companies. They are UL listed and just as good as ADT, Brinks, etc, but at a fraction of the cost. I've included a link to a reputable company that offers what I'm talking about. Good luck.

My neighbors house was robbed and now we want to get a home security system from a company like ADT, GE Protect America, Brinks, or Guardian. Has anyone used any of these companies and have an opinion about them. Obviously we'd like to get the best system for the best price. Who has that? So far I am leaning towards GE Protect America. Most security companies are the same. They give you the equipment, and monitor you and you have to agree to a 2 yr. commitment.Check to see which one is cheapest. Actually, a dog is the best security, proven better than a security company.
