How does the bail-out of the mortgage companies help American citizens?

Ppl still lose their houses and the banks don't lose anything.

I dont think it does help.. Maybe as far as supplying jobs for people but I think they should lower interest rates for home owners. If the mortgage companies get a bail out so should the people with mortgages.
