First let me say, it is a good thing that you want to see your credit report. However, there really is no advantage to viewing it once.
To many people decide to look at there credit score when then need something (like a car, house, etc). I've seen people in a real pickle and not be able to do something like buy a car because of an error that was on their credit report. It actually happened to me. I was 19 years old and applied for a loan at a bank. The bank told me that they couldn't get me the loan because of a credit card that was on my bureau. It made no sense because the year the report said this credit card was open, I was 2 years old! How stupid is that.
Anyway... I was inconvenienced and couldn't get the loan in the time that I needed it. I had to fix the problem first.
Ever since then, I have made sure that I continually review my credit to verify that everything is accurate. Companies like this (

Then, they send you updates every month from ALL 3 credit reporting agencies (Equifax, TransUnion & Experian). I know that ever since I started really watching and monitoring my credit, I have been blessed with a very high score.
