Is kaiser permanente health insurance confidential with teen the way Planned Parenthood is?

I know it's a family hospital, but do they let your parents know everything when you go see them for something like a vaginal check up?

A lot of health insurance companies will share information with the primary policy holder so if you are a dependent on your parent's plan then they probably could find out if they wanted to check.

If you are over the age of 18 and are concerned about this issue and want to find a health insurance policy then you may want to consider a cheap student health insurance plan.

Here is some more information on finding the best student health insurance:

What is the date in which you can get paid as a broker for..

What is the date in which you can get paid as a broker for a Kaiser Permanente health insurance policy?

I think the date is in 1996, but I forgot when Kaiser became broker friendly. I need to know the exact date in 1996 because I just picked up a broker record and the group signed up with Kaiser in 1996. I need to get paid on this!

I am a Kaiser broker in Ohio. You will only get paid from the date that the Agent of Record/Broker of record was signed moving forward....No pay from 1996 to today...

Kaiser Insurance - How much does it cover?

New postby Lilliam » 27 Oct 2012, 09:07

I have Kaiser Permanente Insurance, I found out I was pregnant - they told me there was no co-pay for my pre-natal check-ups (which I was told meant they covered it all). What I was curious about was as far as labor costs go, does anyone know what they cover? I keep trying to find information regarding it but I am having no luck.

Thanks for any help!

Did you call them to ask? Are you having the baby at a Kaiser hospital or another hospital? i think if you have Kaiser HMO and have the baby at one of their facilities then they should cover almost all of it. If you have Kaiser PPO and have the baby at a non-Kaiser hospital you will have to pay more out of pocket. I would call Kaiser to ask -- you'll definitely want to know what to expect.

Most insurances cover the Mirena either under medical or family planning/pharmacy benefits. Call your insurance or read your plan benefits book if you have one.

Most people I have talked to from California have been very happy with Kaiser Permanente.

New postby Alicia » 27 Oct 2012, 09:07

Anyone know if Kaiser Permanente is a good health insurance to buy?

I wanted to get this for my parents and they're asking $800/month for both of them. It basically covers everything with about $25 co-pay for almost everything.
I'm just wondering how the doctors are and how the hospital treat their patients.

Most consumer reports put place it as average or better. In recent years they have scored highly in ratings in California so they certainly seem pretty kosher.

Not sure. Perhaps you need to contact the heads of this organization.

Yes...

Wait for it...

You need to speak to The Kaiser Chiefs.
