I lost four babies, one of them at 16 weeks. I decided to rent a fetal heart monitor online for my last two pregnancies (which thankfully were full-term healthy children). It was very reassuring for me. The one I rented and really liked was Babybeat. They make it very easy and convenient to receive and send back. It worked great and was easy to use. You can even tape the baby's heartbeat.

Anyone know where I can rent or buy a good fetal doppler (heartrate monitor)?
I worry about my baby constantly. I'm 5 months now and feel reassured that I can feel it moving at times but I would feel much better if I could monitor the baby with a doppler. Can anyone help?

Go to
http://www.babybeat.com. You can rent one for as low as $22 per month. They even have fetal dopplers that have a recording feature too. When you rent one, they also send you a CD that has samples of what sounds you're going to hear so you'll be able to distinguish what it is you're hearing on the monitor (heartbeat, bloodflow, baby moving). It's so worth it since you kinda seem like me who's so paranoid sometimes about the well being of my baby.. hehe
Well, good luck ^^

I would love to be able to have a fetal heart monitor to hear my baby's heart beat whenever I wanted to. but i would like one that is like the type they have at the doctors office. not the cheapie at walmart because i have heard mostly bad things about them and they are a waste of money.
Where can i rent/buy one for a good price? Im trying to keep it $100 or less. Oh, and i've already peeked at Ebay but i'm hoping i can find somewhere else to get it from.
Roula.
it wasn't a fetal heart monitor that he had bought it was an ultrasound machine i believe.

When I was pregnant with my second, I rented one from
www.storkradio.com. They had really reasonable prices!! You can rent or buy if you choose. These dopplers are much better than the ones they sell at Babies R Us.
