Is getting your high school diploma online tougher than going to high school?

How is it tougher?
Can you really work at your on pace?
How hours would you have to spend a day learning?

I took my HS education half online half in school, you learn more from the in school stuff, and self- motivation can be difficult.

If you want to do this just so you don't have to go to school, its not worth it, but if its for medical reasons, then you can always try a class or two before starting a completely online program. Also, public school is free, online is not.

As far as at your own pace, you usually have six months to complete a class, but if your a good student and put in two hours per class per day you can finish up five classes in three and a half months.

My personal experiance was you had to put in about 6-8 hours a day give or take ( one to two hours per class) , but you always work at you own level, you dont have to worry about other kids pushing you too fast or holding you back.

P.S. Indiana University High School has an excellent online only program that colleges view as Honors level classes if you do decide that online is right for you. Good luck!

Many well-established universities are beginning to offer online high schools; these schools are probably the best bet since they are tied to credible institutions that have been around for years. A few schools to consider include:

Allied National High School

Penn Foster High School http://distancelearn.about.com/lw/Educa ... rofile.htm

Keystone National High School http://distancelearn.about.com/lw/Educa ... rofile.htm

Christa McAuliffe Academy Online http://distancelearn.about.com/lw/Educa ... rofile.htm

More online private high schools... http://distancelearn.about.com/od/virtu ... ine-HS.htm

Online Charter Schools
If your state allows charter schools, you may be able to enroll in an online high school for free. Charter schools are publicly funded but have more freedom from government control than regular public schools. This is one of the best deals out there, since public schools are not allowed to charge tuition and are generally accredited by the proper organization. States such as Minnesota and California have provisions in their state laws that permit students to enroll in charter programs that are paid for by the government. Schools Blue Sky in Minnesota offer students the chance to earn a diploma without paying for classes or materials. Choice2000 in California is completely online, completely free, and completely accredited by the Western Association of Schools and Colleges. Some schools even provide computer equipment and hands-on materials free of charge.

High School diploma is always been better than a GED, Diploma has more priority over GED, Most of the employers and colleges prefer High School Diploma and accept Diploma students. Minimum age required is 16 at senford high school and for further info you may call them at 1-281-973-5962.

You need the same credits everybody else needs to graduate. You can't just take the ones you want and skip others.

Are these High School Diploma online things for real? Can I go to college with one?

Are these online diploma things real? Are they the equivalent to a GED? Are they ACTUAL diplomas? Can I legally get a job in california with one without a work permit if I am under 18?

Thanks.

I don't believe that all colleges and universities recognize them yet as high school diploma's - so you should contact the colleges you are interested in and see if they recognize them or not.

Good Luck!!!
