What do you think when people specify ethnicities on online dating websites?

It kinda makes me mad. Every guy's profile I look at has either only White/Caucasian selected or they have White, Asian, and Latino. NO ONE except African Americans have Black selected or no answer.

Are people really this closed minded?

It is common to prefer ones own ethnicity when dating but if you don't, I don't consider that open minded. Why does it make you mad?

Why don't they use a website that is aimed at people looking for an affair? They do exist.

It's bad enough that they're looking for an affair behind their wife's back. Why do they have to lie to people on a dating website who are actually looking for a relationship and not an affair?

Maybe it's because it's an emotional connection they feel they are missing and are looking for rather than a sexual hook up. Not that I agree with doing it, it's just a thought...

I met this amazing guy on the web a couple weeks ago.. we are going to meet this Sunday in a public place, hopefully everything goes ok.. we chat at least twice a day for hours!! we have tons of things in common..it is very strange. We talked over the phone and we used webcams (nothing sexual) so I know how he looks like. I'll recommend it, at list try it . I also recently separated and I considered I wasn't ready but I opened the account just to see what could happened. It was a nice experience.
