Because in times of great pearil we know that it could be the end and we want to hold on, with drugs and pain we want that person to be happy and not feel the hurt , because family can feel that pain of one another, and it is strong

"After school" type movie,teen drug abuse,car wreck,intervention?

Pretty vague I know but guy is doing drugs, girlfriend and friends start to worry, outdoor party ends in gun fire, guy passes out on girl in backseat before sex, friends do intervention, guys runs out and runs his car over cliff. I am thinking 90's possibly early 2000's.
