Is There A Web-based Tracking Software That Lets Users...

New postby Randell » 03 Jun 2009, 13:44

Is there a web-based tracking software that lets users submit a request form and stores ina db for reports?

I need to create or find a software that will allow anyone in our company to create a request to send to us and then allow us to manage the request and report off of the database. We also need to be able to customize the fields that the user fills out.

Thanks so much!

You might want to consider hiring a professional to create this web based program for you. I recommend http://www.intrinzicdesignz.com their service is excellent but the price is pretty cheap.

We are looking for a web-based time-tracking software system. We've looked at Journyx and Tenrox, any others?

We have a 450 person company and are looking to track product and project time to measure productivity and costs. Our company does software development and client consulting projects. We've evaluated Journyx, Tenrox, Replicon, and Dovico, are there any others I should consider?

I actually work with this company, so I'm not totally unbiased, but you should check out TimeForce:

Good product, web-based, can be used ASP style or installed in your own network. It's well established, with about 30,000 customers in the US and Canada.

That is tracked in the software that you are using for your webserver. IIS and Apache generate their own logs of all user actions. Any other web server you may be using should have logging built in. If you are looking for a program to analyze these logs check out the Webalizer. It isn't open source but it is free.
