I have a degree in Geography; but I want to teach Early Childhood Classes. What online college could I use in order to obtain a teacher's certificate to teach Kindergarten or First Grade? The quicker I get one the better. Thanks for your suggestions.

I would not recommend getting a degree online in you are wanting to become a teacher. Many school systems do not look "fondly" upon those types of degrees. In fact, they are sort of looked at as a joke. Also, many school systems will only hire candidates who have had student teaching, which is something not provided w/an online class. I would enroll in an in-seat program to get this degree.

Many colleges, especially local junior colleges have special certificate programs where most of the classes are offered online. Although I have not seen any reputable ones that offer them ALL online, but at least you could take the majority online and maybe one lecture on campus. Start by checking your local Jr. College on the web.. it's amazing the technology these days!

I know Notre Dame does, but you have to be 22 to enroll in their certificate programs. Do any other notable colleges offer this? Any subject is fine.
