I want to buy an individual health insurance plan for 6 months. ?

I would like to undergo Gastrointestinal procedures like endoscopy and colonoscopy in during that 6 month period. Please suggest me a good health insurance plan which would cover those procedures? I can pay a monthly premium of about 200$?

Will individual health plan covers preexisting condition after waiting period?

I lost my group insuance and looking for individual plan. I'm 57 now with controled high blood pressure. Will individual plan covers pre-existing condition after 6 month waiting period? If i don't mention that condition, will insurance co really check the medical record?

At age 57 they will probably require a medical exam pirior to authorizing your insurance coverage. They will find out then about your high blood pressure. Most insurance companies will cover that as a pre-existing condition but will not cover, cancer, HIV, bi-polar, and several others but it will all depend on the company.

You will never find an individual health plan that will cover IVF.

Some employer groups choose to add IVF to their benefit plans, but those are rare. (I've seen thousands of companies benefit plans, and I'd say that less than 3% of what I've seen covered IVF.)

Keep in mind that an employer group can negotiate pretty much whatever they want into a benefit contract with the insurance company. (Though they have to pay extra premiums for all the "extras" that they add.) However, individual health plans are pretty basic...they don't cover very many non-standard items.

If you happened to find an individual health plan that you could customize to include IVF, the premium would be so expensive to compensate for adding that service that you wouldn't be able to afford it anyhow. (And I'd bet my life savings you wouldn't find one to do it anyhow.)

I would stay a way form you auto home agent they are experts in property and causality insurance and health insurance is an entire different field. You should search yellowpages.com for a health insurance broker in your area. They will be able to help you sort through many different companies and plans to find the one that balances what you consider affordable and the benefits you will receive.

Any suggestions on a dental plan or individual health...

Any suggestions on a dental plan or individual health insurance pIan?

I live in Texas, I'm 26, homemaker. I need to see the dentist desperately and after calling around, I realize it's going to get pretty expensive. I would also like to see an orthodontist & any other "general" benefits that I could get, I would definitely use. Any suggestions? I'm in pain!

A good dental plan will provide you with more benefits than dental insurance and usually covers more procedures. I found my dental plan at Dentalplans.com and I'm very happy with it. All you have to do is type in your zip code to find a participating dentist in your area. Plans start at about $79.95 but you can save hundreds of dollars a year (or more depending on how much work you need done). There's a review at http://www.dentalplansreview.com

It is not against the law if it is set up properly.

Typically the best way to set this up is to have the employer set up a medical reimbursement plan (sometimes called a Health Reimbursement Arrangement or HRA).

This way everyone gets to enjoy the cheaper prices of individual health insurance instead of a group plan, everyone gets to pick and choose the plan and company that they want, and the employer still gets to help pay (and receive the corresponding tax deduction).

Here is more information on how medical reimbursement plans work:

Individual health insurance plan with pre existing conditions.?

I have a pre-existing condition that is making it difficult to obtain an individual health plan. I live in Ohio. My doctor has written a letter stating that I have no symptoms, have never been hospitalized, etc. has anyone ever experienced this before and will that letter be helpful?

Best to go to an independant agent. They will be able to tell you how far back the underwriting will require your medical records. Usually, it's 5-10 years. If you have not been treated in that time frame and your records reflect that, you should be fine. It is doubtful that a letter from your doctor would be very helpful.
